The Great British Bake off.....

and Strictly Come Dancing to me mark the end of summer and the beginning of Autumn. Once Strictly appears on our TV screens I know that when we reach the final episode it will be the week before Christmas. The last eight months seemed to have whizzed by. We have achieved so much in such a short time since moving into Foxes Field in January, renovating and opening our B&B and having the pleasure of meeting so many lovely guests some which I know will be come life long friends.

I am aware I have neglected my blog over the last couple of months. We have been extremely busy since we opened at the end of May and there doesn't seem to have been enough hours in the day. Even though we still have bookings throughout the autumn we are not quite as full as we were over the summer months which will allow me to get back on track with my blog and social media posts before the spring arrives and we start all over again.

The one thing I love about the UK is the seasons. We have often talked about moving abroad but I think I would really miss the changing of the seasons. As each season approaches I remark how it is my favourite season, to which hubby replies 'you say that for every season!'

Autumn to me means long walks along canal tow paths and through local woodland enjoying the spectacular colour palatte that the trees display as the leaves start changing to their autumnal colours. We are very blessed to have so many walks to chose from, many with a pub stop at the end! One of our favourites is a walk around Bickerton Hill and then a stop off at the Cholmondeley Arms where if the weather allows we like to sit outside with an order of 3 or 4 of their nibbles dishes watching the world go by. Oh, did I mention they are also famous for their 366 choices of Gin. One for every day of the year!
